Operatives of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command have arrested three employees of an Electrical Company for allegedly stealing company wires.
Acting on credible information, the suspects were apprehended while unlawfully removing and concealing electrical wires belonging to the company.
The suspects are: Excellent Victor, Favour Kpenu and Francis Amos.
Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime and further investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement.
They will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, has reiterated the Command’s commitment to upholding law and order, warning that criminal acts will not be condoned in any form.
The Command urges members of the public to report suspicious activities promptly to aid ongoing efforts in crime prevention.
