Khalifah Isyaka Rabiu University ( KHAIRUN) says the unwavering support and mentorship it received from the Bayero University were among key factors for the confirmation of its operating license by the National universities Commission( NUC).
The Vice- Chancellor, Professor Abdulrashid Garba made this declaration when he led KHAIRUN Management on a solidarity visit to the office of the New BUK Vice- Chancellor Professor Haruna Musa who assumed office three days ago.
The team hailed Professor Haruna’s excellent academic credentials and prayed Allah to guide him to serve a successful tenure.
Responding, Prof Haruna thanked the delegation and congratulated KHAIRUN for the confirmation of its license which is a milestone.
He assured them of future support and cooperation from BUK.
Inaugurated barely two years ago, KHAIRUN has been building bridges with local, national and international institutions.
Last week, the university signed an Academic Collaboration Agreement with Sabratha University Libya.
The pact is to strengthen academic cooperation in research, conferences and workshops and students exchange among other related activities. President of Sabratha, Professor Salim Mohammed Ali signed for his university while Professor Abdulrashid Garba signed for KHAIRUN.
