A Resident professional golfer. Lawan Malam has applauded the commandant of 3 motorists Brigade, Bukavu Barracks , Brigadier General, A.M. Tukur for supporting the renovation and reopening of the historic Hole No. 3 Tee Box at Kano club golf section.
While conducting round the facilities, Lawan Malam described the renovation and reopening of the hole will go along way in developing the golfers skills and talents.
Lawan Malam who was the first professional golfer from the northern Nigeria who participated in British Open golf alongside Tiger Wood among others from 2002 to 2005, said the Kano golf section which was established in 1908 need such renovations in order to develop the game.
While commending those who have contributed and supported the renovation in one way or the other, he called on multi corporate organizations and wealthy individuals towards the overall development of the game in the state and the country at large.
The professional golfer said Kano was blessed with hidden talented players who need moral and financial backing to excel at national and international engagements.
