The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone E, North East, has commended Honourable Sulaiman Dahiru Sulaiman Kalo (SDS) for “his transparent distribution of Ramadan palliatives in Gombe State”.
The association described the exercise as “one of the most transparent and well-coordinated palliative distribution efforts witnessed in recent times within the state”.
In a statement signed by Comrade Muazu Hina, Coordinator, NANS Zone E (North East), the association praised Kalo for demonstrating “exemplary leadership qualities by ensuring that the process was conducted with openness, fairness and proper accountability so that the support reached the rightful beneficiaries”.
“NANS Zone E emphasises that leadership is about accountability, compassion, and commitment to the welfare of the people,” the statement read.
According to him, the palliatives, donated by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, have brought relief to many households in Gombe State.
The students association expressed appreciation to Seyi Tinubu and the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their timely intervention and support to Nigerians, students inclusive during the sacred month of Ramadan.
“At a time when many Nigerians are experiencing economic hardship, such acts of compassion and responsible leadership serve as a source of hope for the people,” the statement added.
The association called on other public office holders and leaders to emulate Hon. Kalo’s leadership style by extending such gesture to all categories and groups of people in the society, saying “leadership is about accountability, compassion, and commitment to the welfare of the people”.
