An Area Court in Jos on Wednesday, sentenced a bus conductor, Aminu Tijjani, to three months imprisonment for stealing a pair of shoe.
The judge, Mrs Shawomi Bokkos, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to theft.
The judge, however gave Tijjani an option of N20, 000 fine.
She also ordered him to pay a compensation of N20,000 to the complainant.
Earlier, the police prosecutor, Insp Daniel Damulak, told the court that the case was reported at the ‘C’ division police station, on April 2, by Mr Muktar Tasiu.
He said that Tijjani trespassed n Tasiu’s property and stole his pair of shoe worth N15,000.
The prosecutor, further told the court that during police investigation, Tijjani confessed to the crime.
