NAWOJ Kano Lauds Aminu Magashi Foundation for Supporting Public Enlightenment Campaign

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kano State Chapter, has commended the Aminu Magashi Foundation (AMG) for supporting a one-day sensitisation and awareness campaign aimed at empowering women journalists and educating the public.

This is contained in a statement issued in Kano by the Chairperson of NAWOJ Kano, Mrs Sayyida Bahijja Malam Kabara.

Kabara described the initiative as a significant step toward strengthening the capacity of women in the media, enhancing public health awareness and promoting community development through responsible and informed journalism.

She praised the Founder of AMG, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba, describing him as one of the few individuals who dedicate their time, resources and expertise to serve humanity.

“Such people who serve humanity with sincerity and purpose are uncommon. Dr Aminu Magashi stands out as a true asset to our community and a pillar of support to women in the media,” she said.

Kabara said AMG’s continued engagement with women journalists demonstrates its commitment to building a knowledgeable, proactive and socially responsible media workforce capable of driving impactful advocacy and shaping public understanding.

According to her, the sensitisation campaign complements existing efforts to enlighten women on critical health issues, promote professional excellence and strengthen cross-sector collaboration in public advocacy.

She expressed appreciation to the Foundation for prioritising the development and well-being of women journalists, as well as for its valuable contributions to public enlightenment.
