
The Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS) has appointed Saifullahi Muhammed as the Zonal Commander for the North West Zone.
Muhammed, a native of Kano Municipal Local Government Area in Kano State, officially assumed office on January 13, 2025.
His appointment was approved by the Commander General of the NFSS, Ambassador Osatimeh Joshua, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, AIG (Rtd) E. E. Amakulor, in accordance with Articles 5 and 6, Subsections A and B of the NFSS Constitution.
In his acceptance speech, Muhammed said, “It is an honor to be entrusted with this responsibility. I am dedicated to improving the activities of the Nigerian Forest Security Service in the North West Zone and will work tirelessly alongside all relevant stakeholders to ensure Nigeria becomes a safer and better place for all.”
As Zonal Commander, Muhammed will focus on strengthening security operations, fostering collaboration with local communities, and working closely with security agencies to address the region’s challenges.
