
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RS1.2 Kano Sector Command, on Saturday held a Special Marshals Sectoral Workshop aimed at strengthening security and safety strategies for its operations.
The workshop, held at the FRSC Special Marshals Conference Hall in Kano, with the theme: “Enhancing security , safety strategies for special marshals operations.”
This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen by the CRC of Kano sector command, Abdullahi Labaran on Saturday in Kano.
The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Idris Mohammed Lawal, who represented the Zonal Commanding Officer, RSH1HQ Kaduna, Assistant Corps Marshal Ahmed Umar Fispon, emphasize importance of safety and security in Special Marshals’ activities.
Earlier, the Coordinator of the Special Marshals, SM Abdulhadi Umar, delivered a welcome address, while the Zonal Coordinator, RSH1HQ Kaduna, SM Usman Ya’u Dutse, spoke on behalf of the National Coordinator, SM Adaji Usman.
Two papers were presented during the session: “Enhancing Security and Safety Strategies for Special Marshals Operations” by Deputy Corps Commander Nasiru A. Gago, and “Causes of Road Traffic Crashes in Nigeria” by SM Wilson Idanwekhai.
The event was attended by Special Marshals, officers of the Corps, representatives of sister security agencies, and invited guests.
The workshop was designed to build the capacity of Special Marshals in promoting safety and ensuring secure road environments across the country.
