The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has been making significant efforts to unify the people of the North, addressing regional issues with a common voice and without bias or division of opinion.

Speaking to journalists in Kaduna shortly after a meeting of the forum, which focused on ending the ongoing killings in Plateau State and addressing the brutal murder of hunters from Kano State in Edo, retired General Idris Bello Dambazau said the forum deserves recognition for all its efforts, as everything they do is for the progress of Northern Nigeria.

General Dambazau expressed joy that the forum members are united and that their discussions are always rooted in trust and merit.

He noted that it is rare to hear complaints of injustice within the group because they operate with a shared purpose.

He further stated that their deliberations always aim to ensure the development of the North, allowing them to confront any leader with one voice to advocate for the region. They do not focus on personal interests but rather on the collective good of the North.

Dambazau said he was very pleased to have attended this important meeting.

“This is my first time participating in a meeting of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), and I am truly delighted by the opportunity God has given me.”

He called on Northern youths to emulate the wisdom and approach of the elders in facing challenges with unity and advocating for peace and mutual understanding, which will help bring about progress and development in the region.

“It is only right to commend the ACF,” said General Dambazau.
