The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kano Sector Command, on Wednesday held a decoration ceremony for two of its officers who were recently promoted to the rank of Deputy Corps Commander (DCC).
The event, which took place at the Special Marshals’ Hall, RS1.2 Kano Sector Command, was conducted in line with the directive from the FRSC National Headquarters to decorate all newly promoted personnel.

Those decorated were DCC A.B. Salmanu of RS1.28 Bichi Unit Command and DCC Abdullahi Bello of RS1.21 Danbatta Unit Command.
The ceremony was attended by officers of the command, family members and well-wishers, who gathered to celebrate the officers’ elevation and outstanding service to the Corps.
Speaking during the event, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander M.B. Bature, congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to uphold professionalism, dedication, and leadership in their new roles.
He noted that the promotion was not only a reward for past performance, but also a call to greater responsibility in advancing road safety efforts in the country.
The event was marked by celebration, goodwill messages, and a renewed sense of duty among officers and men of the Corps.
