I never sent anyone to apologise to Pantami – Naja’atu Mohammed

A Prominent politician, Hajiya Naja’atu Mohammed, has dismissed reports circulating on social media that she sent representatives to meet with the camp of former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, to reconcile and apologise over comments she recently made about him.

In the interview, she had described the former Minister of Communications and the PDP governorship candidate for Gombe State in the 2027 election as a “liar and pretender.”

However, reacting to reports that she had subsequently sent representatives to Pantami’s camp to apologise for the remarks, Naja’atu categorically denied the claim.

According to her, the report was being circulated by supporters of Pantami in an attempt to create the impression that she had retracted or apologised for her earlier comments.

She maintained that neither she nor any of her coordinators had met with Pantami to discuss reconciliation or offer an apology.

“Even if my people met him, I am not aware,” she said.

Naja’atu further described the alleged reconciliation report as another “lie”, arguing that its circulation only reinforced her earlier characterisation of Pantami as “a liar in politics.”
