The Kano State Censorship Board has imposed a one-year suspension on popular Kannywood actress, Samha M. Inuwa, for violating the board’s regulations on indecent content.

The suspension, which takes immediate effect, bars Samha from appearing in any films for the next 12 months.

This decision follows multiple complaints from the public and concerned citizens in Kano regarding her revealing outfits and provocative videos.

According to Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman, Information Officer for the Kano State Censorship Board, Samha had been repeatedly warned about her crude dressing and vulgar displays, but she continued to flout the board’s regulations.

In addition to the suspension, the board has also revoked Samha’s liaison and halted the censorship of any films featuring her.

This move is aimed at ensuring that all films, writings, and other forms of expression in Kano State align with the state’s religious values, cultural norms, and moral standards.

The Kano State Censorship Board has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding moral integrity within the Kannywood film industry and enforcing adherence to its rules and regulations.
