Kano gets new NSCDC Commandant

A new Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Kano State Command, Mr Shafi’u Abdulmumini, has assumed duty in the state.

This is contained in a statement issued in Kano on Friday, by the Command’s Spokesman, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, the new commandant replaced Mohammed Lawal-Falala, who has been transferred.

The statement said Abdulmumini is an an indigene of Katsina State from Dayi, Malumfashi Local Government.

While handing over, the outgoing state Commandant Lawal-Falala, thanked God for a successful tenure and urged officers and men of the command to give the newly leadership maximum cooperation in order to move the Corps forward in the state.

Responding, the new commandant Abdulmumini, solicited support and cooperation from the command’s management and personnel to achieve greater success. 

He noted that Kano is a second home to him and pledged to vigorously pursue policies aimed at protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, as well as securing the lives, and property of Kano residents.
