Kano State Government has commenced training of 10,000 students who were recently being paid to write free JAMB examination across the 44 local government areas.
Launching the training program at Murtala Muhammad Library Computer Center, the Commissioner of Education Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda disclosed that the program was part of the government’s effort to assist students in the state obtain admission in to tertiary institutions.
He explained that even last year, the administration had paid JAMB registration free to over 5000 students across state, stressing that…” that most of these students had successfully got admission in to different institutions within and out side the state “.
The Commissioner announced that the students would be served with food and donation of N1000 each as transport money from the beginning to the end of the training program.
Ali Makoda expressed satisfaction over the way the training is going on, assuring the students of government continued support in providing access to quality education.
According to the Commissioner, the training program which began today Wednesday will end up on 19th April 2025.
He therefore urged the students to pay more attention to what they are learning and make sure that they perform excellently during the examination.
Earlier, the Director Kano Educational Resource Department (KERD) Hajiya Rabi Inuwa Hussain explained that the training program is organized at 21 centers in the state.
She thanked the State Governor for the support given to the department which according her, had significantly improved working condition at the department.
