KNUPDA Applauds Kano Residents for Compliance with Building Approval Process

The Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA) has commended the good people of Kano for their growing cooperation in obtaining building approvals in accordance with urban planning regulations.  

The Managing Director of KNUPDA, Arc. Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu, MNIA,made this known during an interview with Ammasco Radio in his office. 

He expressed appreciation for the Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf-led administration,describing it as a government of the people. 

He commended the public for their compliance with KNUPDA’s regulations and urged those who have yet to obtain approval for their structures to do so promptly.  

The Managing Director further highlighted other structures and developments that require approval before construction, including :pole-wares, culverts, drainages, roads, filling stations, and boreholes,stressing that many residents are not fully aware of these requirements. 

He urged the public to ensure proper approvals are obtained before embarking on such projects to promote organized urban development.  

Arc. Ibrahim also encouraged residents to report their complaints or concerns directly to KNUPDA in any language they feel comfortable with, assuring them that the agency’s doors are always open for grievances and suggestions. 

He emphasized that KNUPDA staff are always on duty to receive complaints and take necessary action where required.  

Furthermore, he urged the public to continue adhering to KNUPDA’s regulations to avoid any enforcement actions that could result in inconvenience or legal consequences.
