NCoS Honours Kano Command PRO for Outstanding Media Engagement

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has honoured the Public Relations Officer of its Kano State Command, CSC Musbahu Lawan K/Nassarawa, for his outstanding media engagement and contributions to enhancing the Service’s public image.

The award was presented at a three-day workshop for Command Public Relations Officers, with the theme: “Positioning the NCoS for Visibility and Public Trust”.

The workshop brought together CPROs from across the country to strengthen strategic communication and public enlightenment efforts.

Speaking at the event, the Controller-General of Corrections, Mr Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, commended the commitment of the PROs to promoting the activities of the Service.

He urged them to intensify efforts toward building public confidence and improving institutional visibility.

The Minister of Interior, Dr Tunji Ojo, represented by the Adviser to the Minister on Correctional Service Reforms, DCC Babatunde Ogundare, also applauded the officers for their dedication.

He noted that their role in shaping public perception remains crucial to the ongoing reforms of the Service.

He congratulated CSC Musbahu Lawan for distinguishing himself among his colleagues nationwide, describing him as a professional whose integrity and dedication continue to reflect positively on the organisation.

The Kano State Command described the recognition as well-deserved and reaffirmed its commitment to upholding professionalism, transparency and effective service delivery.
