Task Force, Troops, Vigilantes chases scores of illegal miners out of Taraba

The Anti Illegal Mining Taskforce, Troops  and Vigilantes on Wednesday chased  scores of  illegal miners from Gangtu village in Bali LGA of Taraba state.

The  Chairman of the Anti-Illegal Mining,  SP Emmanuel Jamu while speaking to journalists via telephone conversation said in a major success recorded on unauthorized mining operations within the state.

He added that the Anti-Illegal Mining Task Force in conjunction with Troops and Vigilantes stormed illegal mining site and displayed scores of illegal miners.

“Our  team in conjunction with troops and other local security outfits act on  credible intelligence and stormed their location and chased them away.

He informed that most of the illegal miners came from far-off states with plans to mine unlawfully and flouting mining regulations

He reaffirmed the task force’s resolve to break illegal mining rings and urged locals to share tips that would continue to help flush out such operations across the state.
