The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has dismissed five volunteer personnel from service over alleged misconduct and indiscipline.
The State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan-Agalama, approved the dismissal after the personnel were found to have engaged in acts contrary to the Corps’ values, ethics and operational standards.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, on Tuesday in Kano.
According to the statement, those dismissed are Yakubu Mubarak, Isma’il Muhd, Adamu Auwalu, Abdulrazaq Suleiman and Ahmad Sarki.
He said all uniforms, accoutrements, identification materials and other official kits issued to the affected personnel had been withdrawn and seized by the command.
The commandant directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and other relevant officers across the state to take note of the development.
He also instructed them to ensure that the dismissed individuals were neither recognised nor engaged in any official capacity on behalf of the Corps.
Hassan-Agalama reiterated the command’s zero-tolerance policy on indiscipline and warned that any personnel found engaging in acts capable of tarnishing the image of the Corps would face appropriate disciplinary measures.
He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to professionalism, integrity and efficient service delivery in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.
