‎FRSC, NBA partner to strengthen rule of law, capacity building

‎The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Kano Branch, has collaborate to strengthen and promote rule of law, enhance road safety enforcement and improve capacity of FRSC personnel.

‎Mrs Olushola Ashonibare, Corps Legal Adviser of the FRSC who spoke on Tuesday during a meeting officials of Nigeria Bar Association  at the Kano Command Office in Kano.

‎She said the meeting is aim to foster  strong working relationship between FRSC and NBA.

‎According to her, “the collaboration will enhance mutual understanding, improve synergy and strengthen collaboration between both organisations.

‎”One major resolutions of the meeting is to collaborate on capacity building for FRSC personnel to enable them perform their duties more professionally and in line with the law.

‎”FRSC is a creation of law and discharges its statutory responsibilities within the provisions of law and due process”,she said.

‎Ashonibare further explained that our goal is to ensure that officers carry out enforcement duties professionally while respecting the rights of citizens and operating strictly within the confines of the law

‎She added that the collaboration will also improve officers’ understanding of legal procedures and promote lawful enforcement on the nation’s roads.

‎On his part, the Chairman of NBA, Kano Branch, Mr Sani Ammani, said the meeting underscore the need for both organisations to operate within the  boundaries of law.

‎Ammani said NBA is committed to work closely with FRSC and ensure strict compliance with rule of law and protect  rights of citizens.

‎He  said  lawful enforcement will improve public confidence and ensure that road users respect traffic laws and other legal provisions.

‎The chairman added that NBA will provide necessary legal support whenever require to advance objectives of the partnership.
