Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has approved the constitution of a 13-member committee to coordinate activities marking the third anniversary of the Gida Gida administration in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
The committee is chaired by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim.
Other members of the committee are:
Engr. Marwan Ahmad – Commissioner for Works
Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf – Commissioner for Health
Dr. Dahir Muhammad Jashim – Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change
Dr. Danjuma Mahmoud – Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources
Dr. Gwani Ali Haruna Abubakar Makoda – Commissioner for Education
Hon. Abduljabbar Umar Garko – Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning
Hon. Abdulkadir Abdussalam – Commissioner for Rural and Community Development
Hon. Adda’u Lawan Kutama – Special Adviser, Cabinet Office
Alhaji Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa – Director General, Media and Publicity
Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo – Director General, Protocol
Hajiya Nana Asma’u Jibrin – Director General, Research and Documentation
Alhaji Muhammad Jalo, Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs (REPA), will serve as Secretary of the committee.
The committee has been mandated to organize a befitting programme to commemorate the administration’s third year anniversary and showcase achievements recorded by the present administration.
Governor Yusuf will inaugurate the committee at 3:00pm on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the conference hall of the cabinet office.
