Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, have detained a suspected armed robber in the state.
This is contained in a statement issued on Friday, in Kano by the Corps Public Relations Officer in the state, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi.
He said the suspect, Amir Mohammed,24, of Ja’en Quarters, in Gwale Local Government Area, was arrested on Nov.7, by team of the Corps on security duty at Sharada Federal Housing Estate, Kano.
“The suspect forcefully broke into the house of one Alhaji Mustafa Abubakar, stabbed him and his family severally on various parts of their bodies, leaving them in a pool of blood.
“The suspect stabbed Abubakar in 11 sensitive parts of his body, including the neck and chest, in an attempt to kill and rob him of his smartphone and laptop which he planned to use to empty the victim’s bank accounts” idris-Abdullahi said
He said the victim was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
“Investigation revealed that the suspect had entered the same compound earlier on Nov.1, and stolen the victim’s two Sim cards.
“Effort is being made to apprehend one other accomplice, Abbas Danmama, who is still at large” Idris-Abdullahi said
He noted that upon completion of the investigation, the case would be transferred to the Nigerian Police for further investigation and necessary legal actions.
