
A 44-year-old man, Ajagbe Olanrewaju, on Friday, appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, over an alleged generator theft.
Olanrewaju, whose address was not provided, was charged with theft, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, ASP Musbau Lawal, told the court that the defendant allegedly stole a generator worth N161,200, the property of one Kayode Adeosun.
Lawal said the offence was committed on Feb. 6, at about 2.00 p.m., at Adebisi Akande Road, Ibadan.
According to the prosecutor, the offence contravened Section 390 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mr Olaolu Olanipekun, granted the defendant a N200,000 bail with one surety in like sum.
He, thereafter, adjourned the case until March 18 for hearing.
