FRSC Inaugurates 88 New Special Marshals in Kano

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has inaugurated 88 new Special Marshals to contribute meaningfully to road efforts across the state.

The State FRSC sector Commander, Muhammed Bature who spoke during inauguration ceremony on Saturday in Kano said special marshals, as voluntary arms of the FRSC, remain an indispensable force in advancing our mandate of creating a safer motoring environment in Nigeria.

He said we are all too aware of the critical role road safety plays in national development.

According to him, “every life lost on the road is a tragedy, not just to a family but to our nation.

“Your role as Special Marshals is to educate, enlighten, assist in enforcing road safety regulations and maintain high standards of volunteer conduct”,he said.

Bature urged them to join hands with the regular marshals to address challenges of reckless driving, speeding, non-compliance with traffic rules, and unsafe road practices.

The Sector Commander also charged them to be patriotic, vigilant, and exemplary in their conduct.

On his part, the State Coordinator Special Marshals, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar said the uniform you wear signifies public trust, live by examples in character and commitment.

One of the inaugurated special marshal, Garzali Umar said he join marshal to educate people to desist from driving anyhow on the road and obey traffic rules and regulations.
