The organisers of Dala Hard Court Tennis has fixed November 20th-
28th, 2026 for the 39th edition of the championship in Kano.
The tournament’s Director, Alhaji Yusuf Datti made this known in a telephone chat.
Datti, who also doubles as the Vice President of Nigerian Tennis Federation, NTF, said that arrangements are in the pipeline toward making the tournament successful and hitch-free.
He said that already the organisers have secured approval from the NTF as part of the tradition ahead of championship, assuring that tested and best players across the country are expected to compete in the competition.
Datti further added that over 300 male and female players were expected in the preliminaries and the competition proper where eventual winners would home go with big prizes.
While commending the sponsors for their commitment and support, he called on other corporate bodies and government to contribute their quota towards the overall development of the game across the country.
He, however, expressed appreciation to the Dala Hard Court Tennis committee chairman, Alhaji Bashir Ahmad Gumel and other members for their dedication and commitment for sustaining the championship for almost four decades.
