Kano. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced a three-day national mourning period to honor the life and legacy of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement, ADC’s Interim National Chairman, Sen. David Mark, GCON, described President Buhari as a statesman of exceptional character who dedicated his life to serving Nigeria.
The party has suspended all political activities nationwide during the mourning period.
Senator Mark called on the Federal Government to immortalize President Buhari’s legacy by establishing monuments or initiatives that reflect his values.
“President Buhari’s leadership reflected discipline, commitment, and patriotism. We urge the government to preserve his legacies for future generations,” Senator Mark said.
The ADC extends its condolences to the Buhari family, the Nigerian government, and all Nigerians mourning the loss.
The party urges its members and supporters to observe the mourning period with solemnity and respect.
